چکیده
Introduction Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the skin, charachterised by a TH2 skewed cytokine profile, usually elevated total serum IgE and can be co coexpressed with other atopic clinical manifestations. The atopic skin is prone to bacterial colonization and that has an effect on immunological parameters. Atopic Dermatitis has been correlated with IgG hypoglobulinaemia, low serum IgA and downregulation of the CD8 lymphocytes in peripheral blood.

Pathogenesis of Atopic Dermatitis: Current Paradigm
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is characterized by skin inflammation, barrier dysfunction and chronic pruritus. In this review, recent advances in the pathogenesis of AD are summarized. Clinical efficacy of the anti-IL-4 receptor antibody dupilumab implies that type 2 cytokines IL-4 and IL-13 have pivotal roles in atopic inflammation. The expression of IL-4 and IL-13 as well as type 2 chemokines such a...
متن کاملAssociation of LL-37 and IL-31 serum levels with SCORing Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD) score in atopic dermatitis patients
Background: Atopic dermatitis is a chronic, recurrent inflammation of the skin, accompanied by severe pruritus. Immune system dysregulation and skin barrier defects are associated with the abnormalities in atopic dermatitis. Myriad pieces of evidence have pointed to the major roles of LL-37 and interleukin-31 (IL31)in atopic dermatitis. The studies on atopic dermatitis are still limited i...
متن کاملبررسی غلظت اینترفرون- گاما، فاکتور نکروز تومور- آلفا، اینترلوکین- 13 و اینترلوکین- 4 در شیر مادر و ارتباط آنها با درماتیت آتوپیک
Background: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most common chronic, highly pruritic and inflammatory skin diseases. The exclusive influence of breastfeeding in the prevention of inflammatory diseases is a matter of debate. In this study, we aimed to determine the concentration of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-13 (IL-13) and interleukin-4 (IL-4) cyt...
متن کاملCytokine Production in Hymenolepis Nana Infection
Background: Although many experimental studies provide convincing evidence that type II immunity is protective against helminths, recent data in mice demonstrate that Th1 is also impor-tant in some cestodes like Hymenolepis nana. Objective: To identify the role of Th1 and Th2 lymphocytes in immunity against H. nana, the levels of IL-12, IFNγ, IL-5, and IL-13 were de-termined in serum of humans ...
متن کاملThe Effects of Excess Iodine on Immune System; an in-vitro study
Background & Aims: While iodine is an essential element for the synthesis of thyroid hormones, epidemiological studies have showed that excessive iodine intake leads to autoimmune thyroid diseases, with an unknown mechanism. Previous studies have showed disturbance in the circulating cytokines could lead to autoimmune diseases. To determine the role of iodine in cytokine production and devel...
